Arrive in Bangkok and take the transfer to the hotel, check-in. You can enjoy some free time to
get settled. Visit Dusit Zoo (if you arrive before 11:00 am an additional fee is charged). In the
evening – dinner at the famous Baiyoke Sky Hotel, after which you can watch the nightlife of
Bangkok from the viewing decks located on the 77th and 84th floors.
Breakfast provided at the hotel. After you will go on a Bangkok sightseeing tour, to see
all of the major attractions.
The Royal Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha are the main attractions of Bangkok,
which every visitor must see. The palace is a huge landmark that consists of several buildings. Some
of them are housing government institutions; which began in 1782 by King Rama I, the founder of
the Rama dynasty. The Palace has a huge area of 218 thousand square meters with 95 pagodas.
The Wat Pho is right next to the Royal Palace. It is the Temple of the Reclining Buddha which is
very popular among visitors. The Reclining Buddha is 46 meters long and 15 meters high.
His body is covered in gold plating.
Then you will visit Wat Arun, one of the most beautiful temples in Bangkok. This amazing temple
was named after the Indian god of dawn (Aruna) and it erected on the banks of the Chao Praya River.
It is famous for the 80-meter pagoda, which is decorated with colorful porcelain. Lunch is provided
at a local restaurant. After lunch you will take a boat trip through Bangkok’s canal system.
Breakfast is provided at the hotel. Then you will drive to Kanchanaburi.
The starting point of the program is the bridge. It is an unusual bridge because it is known as being
the most famous section of “The death railway” – Bridge 277 or the bridge over the river Kwai
was bombed twice during the war and thus the movement along the whole road was interrupted.
However, since then the bridge has been restored.
After lunch at a local Thai restaurant you will go to Sayok waterfall, which is one of the most
amazing waterfalls in Kanchanaburi province. Afterwards you will visit a Thai pharmacy and
a local market. Check in at the River Kwai Village Hotel and there you will be offered a fish spa.
Breakfast is provided at the hotel. Then the day will start with elephant trekking. You will be taken to
the elephant nursery for elephant trekking and after that you will go river rafting. After lunch you will
walk through the jungle to the famous canyon called Hellfire Pass. It was constructed manually by
prisoners during the Second World War. Here you will climb up to the viewpoint, which offers a
fantastic view of the whole River Kwai valley.
After that you will visit a monkey place where you can feed the monkeys in their natural environment
and then continue to the Tiger Temple. This is the world famous place where Buddhist monks manage
tigers, which freely roam around the temple area and live with other animals like deer, pigs and cows.
There you can interact with tame tigers and take photos (additional fees are charged for taking pictures).
In the evening you will take a transfer to hotel/airport.
