Arrive in Chiang Rai. Visit Doi Tung royal garden and drive to Mae Sai to have lunch at a local
restaurant. Drive to the Golden Triangle, which is on the border of the three countries (Thailand,
Burma and Laos) – a former famous opium paradise.
You will take a boat trip by speedboat, across the Mekong River to Don Sao Island in Laos.
After that, take the transfer to the Imperial Golden Triangle Resort.
Here you will have dinner at a local restaurant and visit the night market.
After breakfast you will go to Chiang Mai. On the way there you will visit Wat Rong Khun (the
White Temple), Mae Kajan hot springs and have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you visit
Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, one of the most important places of worship for Buddhists in the
country, which is situated on the top of mountain, approximately 1,601 metres above sea level.
This offers a wonderful view of Chiang Mai. Then you will be transferred to the
Imperial Mae Ping Hotel and provided with a traditional Khantoke dinner in the evening.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and go to an elephant camp. You will have the opportunity to
embark on an elephant trek that takes you along the river and into the forest.
Lunch at a local restaurant will be provided. Visit the arts and crafts center
(Thai silk, paper umbrella painting, teakwood carving and silver) and then go back to the hotel.
Free time is allocated for dinner or to visit the night market (optional), located near the hotel.
After breakfast you will be transferred to Chiang Mai airport.
