Day 1. Chiang Mai – Pai:

In the morning you will arrive in Chiang Mai and be transferred to Pai. You will have lunch at a local
restaurant. Pai is a small town in the northern part of Thailand. It is located in the Mae Hong Son
province and situated along a river. It is close to the border of Myanmar and is 1035 km from
Bangkok. Pai is located in a valley surrounded by mountains, vast fields and beautiful tropical
landscapes. This small town provides a creative, carefree atmosphere where talented young people
like artists, musicians, unappreciated geniuses with creative thinking and a free outlook on life live.
Young people from all over the world come here: some of them wish to draw a creative vitality; others
want to admire the beautiful nature it has to offer.

Make sure you pay it a visit to witness all that Thailand has to offer and appreciate the contrasts
between the different provinces. When you arrive in Pai, you will check-in at Pai Hot spring Spa Resort.
Take this opportunity to relax and visit the hot springs at the hotel.

After lunch you will go and inspect Pai’s surroundings and explore Wat Phra Tat Mae Yin, which is
situated on a hill with a stunning 360-degree view of Pai. Wat Nam Hu contains the Buddha image
with the water coming into its head. No one knows how it happens, thus local people consider it holy.

Before sunset you will visit Kongland (canyon) – the best place to watch the sunset view of Pai.
Afterwards you will visit Pai’s night market, the highlight of visiting Pai. It differs from other markets
of Thailand. It is a cozy, small market with a great selection of handmade items; you will be spoilt
for choice! After this you will return to the hotel for the night.

Day 2. Mae Hong Son:

After breakfast, you will drive to Mae Hong Son and visit: Wat Phra That Kong Moo – a hilltop temple,
which offers a magnificent view of the surrounding area, Wat Jong Klang and Wat Jong Kam are the
two major temples of Mae Hong Son. Lunch is provided at a local restaurant.

After lunch you will go elephant trekking through the jungle and take a boat trip along the scenic
Pai River to the famous village of Pudong, where the long-necked tribe can be found.

Day 3. Tham Lod – Tham Plaa:

Have breakfast and then visit Tham Lod cave. In this third cave the archaeologists once discovered
the remains of coffins made of teak wood. They believe that thousands of years ago lava tribes buried
their tribesmen in these coffins. This huge cave has many stalactites and stalagmites. Here you will
have the 9 opportunity to float through the cave on a bamboo raft with flashlights.

Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. After lunch you will visit Tham Plaa cave (“Fish cave”),
the main inhabitants of this cave are big carps, which can be fed with peanuts. Then you will visit a
picturesque 7-tiered Pha Su waterfall. Return to the hotel in Pai.

Day 4. Chiang Mai:

After breakfast you will take an early drive to Mae Tamann elephant camp, where these amazing
animals display wonderful features of strength and skills under command of their handlers. Next you
will take a bamboo raft down the Taeng River. Then you will be driven to Chiang Mai with a stop at a
Butterfly and Orchid Farm in Mae Sa. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant.

After lunch you will be transferred to your hotel in Chiang Mai. In the evening you can enjoy dinner
with a traditional Khantoke show.

Day 5. Chiang Mai:

Morning – a sightseeing tour around Chiang Mai, visiting Wat Doi Suthep, Wat Suan Dok and Wat
Chedi Luang. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant. After lunch you visit the local arts and
crafts center.

Day 6. Chiang Mai – Chiang Rai:

After breakfast you will drive around Chiang Mai with a few stops i.e. at Wat Rong Khun (White
Temple), Mae Kayan hot springs and at a local restaurant to have lunch. Then you will visit Doi
Tung Royal Garden and Wat Phra Thad Doi Tung.

Day 7. Chiang Rai:

Have breakfast and then travel to the Golden Triangle, which is at the border of the three countries
(Thailand, Burma and Laos) – a former famous opium paradise. After this you will take a boat trip,
by speedboat across the Mekong River and then be driven back to the hotel in Chiang Rai. You will
have free time for the rest of the day.

Day 8. Chiang Rai:

Breakfast and transfer to Chiang Rai airport.
